With gender equality taking centre stage worldwide on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Plan of action and at the IPU as theme of the year in 2025, the Eleventh IPU Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians will be focused on how both young and more senior MPs can unite to accelerate progress on advancing equality between men and women.  

The Conference is taking place on 11-13 September 2025 in Lima, Peru.

National parliaments are invited to send a delegation of up to four young parliamentarians (under the age of 40) and one senior MP to participate in the Conference. Delegations should be composed of representatives of both sexes and parliaments are encouraged to include their youngest members. Exceptionally, given this Conference’s emphasis on intergenerational dialogue, parliaments are invited to include in the delegation, in addition to the four young Parliamentarians, one senior Parliamentarian.

A cultural visit will take place on 13 September.
